Example course 32 of 38 classes attended 4 classes to spare

Stay above the line.

Threshold tracks attendance for every course and tells you exactly how many classes you can miss before 75%.

Every class you skip lowers the level.

Take one course: 32 of 38 classes attended, 84.2%. Skip four and it falls to 76.1%. One more skip and it is below the line.

Keep skipping and you sink fast.

Four more skips: 32 of 46, 69.5%. Now it takes ten classes in a row, without a single miss, to get back.

Threshold tells you first.

Ten classes later it is back at exactly 75%. Threshold does this sum for every course you take, every time your attendance changes.

Try it on one course.

Put in the numbers for any course of yours. The answer and the level move as you type.

Minimum
You can miss 4 more classes.
84.2% now, 75% needed

Three questions it answers for every course.

Answered for the numbers in Try it, above. Change them and these answers change too.

  1. How many classes can I miss?

    With 32 of 38 attended and a 75% minimum, you can miss 4 more before you drop below the line.

    4classes to spare

  2. How do I get back above the line?

    You are above the line now. Miss 8, twice what you can spare, and you would need 10 classes in a row to get back.

    10in a row, after missing 8

  3. Will I end the semester above it?

    With 30 classes still to come, you can skip 11 of them and still finish at 75% or above.

    11of the 30 still to come you can skip

Start from the sheet you already get.

Drop in the attendance report from your college portal. Threshold reads every course by name, with its theory, practical and tutorial rows and your college's minimum, right here on this device. Nothing is saved.

Works with any school's PDF report: the summary, the detailed register of every class, or one report a month, dropped together. Tables copied from a portal or a spreadsheet work too.

Whole numbers, no guessing.

miss = ⌊(100a − P·t) ÷ P⌋

need = ⌈(P·t − 100a) ÷ (100 − P)⌉

a attended, t held, P minimum percent.

Most calculators divide by 0.8 and round. For an 80% minimum that gives the wrong answer in 2,614 of 3,320 cases up to 80 classes. Threshold keeps every step in whole numbers and checks itself against a brute-force count.

Drop in your report. Know before you skip.
